PRESENTATION TIMES: The poster session is tentatively scheduled for the morning of Friday, October 11. Based on the number and quality of submissions, there is the potential for a second poster session on Saturday, October 12.


DEADLINE: for receipt of abstracts August 2, 2024.


NOTIFICATION: Authors will be notified via email by Friday, September 2, 2024, allowing time for preparation.

STUDENT AWARDS: Three student research awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Poster winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony.

To be considered for a Student Award, applicants must have been full-time students at a PT or PTA program at the time the project was completed. Submissions from groups of students or students working with faculty are welcome.

APTA NC Research Poster Submissions

APTA North Carolina invites abstracts for research poster presentations at the Annual Conference. This invitation is open to all educators, clinicians, and students. Any topic related to physical therapy is welcome: research, special interest, and case study topics. Abstracts will go through a peer-review process for acceptance. Student posters will be eligible for poster awards based on the submitted abstracts. The credentials of the first author determine whether this is a student or clinician poster. All authors attending the conference must pay the registration fee (at a minimum, the single-day registration). Each poster should have at least one author present at the conference to present and answer questions. Please submit a completed abstract with all the identifying information as outlined below. Only electronic submissions in the proper format will be considered.
